Screen Printing

Screen printing involves pressing ink through a fine mesh screen using a squeegee to transfer the design onto flat surfaces. It’s an excellent choice for branding flat products with bold, solid colours.

✅ Advantages

  • Allows for large print areas on flat items
  • Achieves accurate PMS colour matching on white or light-coloured products
  • Fast-drying inks mean products can often be shipped immediately
  • Specialty inks like fluorescent, metallic gold, and silver are available for select textiles
  • Supports multi-colour printing with tight registration (up to 5 colours on certain products)

⚠️ Limitations

  • PMS colour matching is less precise on dark surfaces and may require a white base layer for better visibility
  • Variable data printing is not supported
  • Each colour requires a separate setup and charge

  • Convert fonts to outlines/objects to prevent compatibility issues

Laser Engraving

Laser engraving is a precise and permanent branding method that uses a laser to etch artwork directly into a product’s surface. Since engraving results vary by material, we recommend pre-production samples for best results.

✅ Advantages

  • Delivers a premium, high-value appearance
  • Branding is permanent, as it becomes part of the product surface
  • Suitable for large branding areas, including curved surfaces
  • Variable data (e.g. individual names) can be engraved on select items
  • Products are ready to ship immediately after engraving

⚠️ Limitations

  • Fine details may not reproduce well on smaller items like pens

UV Printing

UV printing is a direct-to-surface digital process where ultraviolet light cures specially formulated inks instantly as they’re applied. This method delivers sharp, vibrant full-colour prints on flat or slightly curved surfaces, with excellent durability and gloss finish.

✅ Advantages

  • Perfect for full-colour, high-resolution prints with vibrant detail
  • Inks are cured instantly, making the product ready to ship immediately
  • Only one setup charge required, regardless of the number of print colours
  • Delivers consistent colour and finish on light and dark surfaces
  • Excellent for complex artwork or photo-quality printing

⚠️ Limitations

  • Suitable only for flat or mildly curved surfaces
  • Cannot reproduce metallic or fluorescent colours
  • Not ideal for extremely small print areas
  • Slightly higher cost than some traditional methods

🎨 Artwork Guidelines

  • Artwork can be supplied in vector or high-resolution bitmap format
  • Bitmaps must be at least 300 DPI at actual print size
  • Fonts should be converted to outlines/objects to avoid font compatibility issues

Heat Press Printing (Sublimation)

Heat press sublimation printing uses heat and pressure to transfer artwork from sublimation ink onto specially coated stainless steel surfaces. This method is ideal for vibrant, full-colour designs with photographic detail.

✅ Advantages

  • Produces high-resolution, full-colour prints with photographic quality
  • Ideal for detailed artwork, gradients, and complex images
  • Ink is infused into the surface, resulting in a smooth, durable finish
  • No colour limitations, making it suitable for rich, vibrant designs

⚠️ Limitations

  • Only compatible with bottles that have a sublimation coating
  • Not suitable for uncoated or non-polymer-treated surfaces
  • Print area is often limited to the straight sides of the product

🎨 Artwork Guidelines

  • Artwork must be supplied in high-resolution bitmap (300 DPI or higher) at actual print size
  • Convert fonts to outlines/objects to avoid font compatibility issues
  • Transparent PNG or JPEG files preferred for photographic designs

5D Printing

5D printing is an advanced technique that creates detailed, multi-layered designs with depth and texture, producing a striking, dimensional effect. It adds a tactile and visually dynamic element, making it ideal for premium branding applications.

✅ Advantages

  • Delivers a unique 3D look and feel with enhanced visual depth
  • Perfect for high-end, complex graphics requiring texture and layering
  • Adds a premium, eye-catching finish to the product
  • Ideal for showcasing fine detail and multi-dimensional effects

⚠️ Limitations

  • Requires specialized printing equipment, increasing production costs
  • Not recommended for high-abrasion areas where surface durability is critical
  • Longer lead times may apply depending on artwork complexity and production schedule
